The Cuban Parade and Festival of New Jersey has 3 principal objectives:
• Celebrate the Cuban-American community's rich cultural heritage, history and traditions.
• Increase public awareness of the community's contributions in public service, business and the arts.
• Provide businesses an opportunity to show their support and promote their products and services
The Parade consists of four events leading up to the parade on Sunday June 3, 2012
On Wednesday May 23, 2012 Annual Golf Outing - The Cuban Parade of NJ Committee will host its annual golf outing at the Emerson Golf Course in Emerson, New Jersey.
On Thursday May 31, 2012 a tribute to Celia Cruz will be held at her park located at 31st Street & Bergenline Ave in Union City, NJ. A star dedication will be held at this event for certain distinguished individuals.
On Friday June 1, 2012 a Star awards and dignitaries VIP reception will be held at La Reggia Restaurant located at
40 Wood Ave in Secaucus, New Jersey (Entertainment open bar and dinner will be served).
On Saturday June 2, 2012 the Cuban Parade of New Jersey will host a Nostalgia Cubana Show at the
Park Theatre located at 560-32nd Street in Union City, New Jersey from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM with top
billing entertainers and artist.
On Sunday June 3, 2012 a festival will be held at Schuetzen Park in North Bergen, New Jersey from 10:00 AM
to 9:00 PM (Food Kiosk, rides, live entertainment and top billing performers will perform.
On Sunday June 3, 2012 -The Parade starting at 12:00 PM.
The route of the Parade will cover the core business district of Bergenline Ave, considered one of New Jersey's premier commercial strips. It will begin at 79th Street and Bergenline Avenue in North Bergen, New Jersey (Entrance to James Braddock Park) and conclude at 43rd Street and Bergenline Ave in Union City, NJ. With a reviewing stand ceremony.

For over 45 years, Cuban-Americans have been active participants in the political, social and economic landscape of
the achievements and cultural heritage of Cuban-Americans in the state.
The first parade was celebrated in May 2000, along Hudson County's most renowned business district, Bergenline Ave and culminated with a cultural festival in Hudson County's James J. Braddock Park. Between 10,000 and 15,000 spectators attended the parade festival. The event was supported by 10 corporate sponsors and the participation of a wide range of community-based organizations.
During its second year, the Cuban Parade of New Jersey, celebrated in June 2001, attracted over 20,000 spectators.
The 2002 parade attracted more than 30,000 spectators
The 2003 parade attracted 100,000 spectators in the rain.
From 2004 through 2011 our parade has attracted more than 350,000 spectators.
To grant scholarships to disadvantaged students, from local and regional schools, wishing to attend colleges and/or universities.
To assist and provide support to families in need due to natural disasters, acts of Nature.
To cooperate with humanitarian causes and efforts throughout the world.
